Pope Francis landed in Baghdad on Friday for a historic visit to violence-torn Iraq. The trip, dubbed as his ‘most risky foreign trip since his election in 2012’ because of the security situation in Iraq and the COVID-19 pandemic, is his first tour outside Italy since November 2019.
