On Wednesday, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said Egypt and Qatar have decided to restore diplomatic ties after a three-year-long Saudi-led freeze on Doha ties ended this month.The step follows an agreement earlier this month between Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, and Egypt to end their Qatar boycott, which started in 2017 amid claims that it sponsored extremism, an allegation that Doha rejects.
