<p class="MsoNormal">Sheikh Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Kingdom of Bahrain, was named the new prime minister on Wednesday, following the death of Prince Khalifa bin Salman al-Khalifa, who held the position since the country’s independence in 1971. </p>
