<p class="MsoNormal">Facebook and Google are building two undersea cables in a bid to increase connectivity between the Asia-Pacific region and North America. Echo and Bifrost are expected to raise capacity by 70% while improving internet reliability and redundancy, according to Facebook, which is investing in both cables. Google, however, is only investing in Echo, the first underwater cable to link the US to Singapore. </p>
