<p class="MsoNormal">Foreign technology companies might have to open up local offices in Russia to avoid punitive action or an outright ban. This is as per a draft legislation submitted to the parliament on Friday. The move is part of Moscow’s plan to have greater control over US-based internet giants such as Facebook, Google and Twitter.</p>
