<p class="MsoNormal">Following the death of a 10-year-old girl who allegedly participated in a “blackout challenge” on TikTok, social media giants Facebook and Instagram have come under the scanner of Italy’s data protection agency. The agency on Wednesday said that it has initiated an investigation into how minors access these social networks. The development comes after the agency restricted access of TikTok users to the network whose age could not be verified.</p>
