ByteDance, owner of TikTok, has acquired Shanghai-based gaming studio Moonton Technology for $4 billion. The acquisition is part of the company’s expansion strategy for its video games business and has helped it get a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) game - Mobile Legends- under its belt.
