Toyota Motor Corp. has retained its top position as the world's largest automobile firm with sales touching 10.5 million units in 2021, from 9.5 million vehicles in the previous year. The close rival to the Japanese automaker is Germany’s Volkswagen Group with its 8.6 million units, a 6.3% decline from the previous year.
