A new joint venture -- between billionaire Sunil Mittal's telecom operator Airtel and US-based Hughes Network Systems, a unit of Nasdaq-listed Echostar -- is set to become the largest satellite service operator in India with a combined base of over 200,000 VSATs of the parent companies.
