Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance on Friday announced that it has received more than its targeted initial $2 billion funds this year—collectively pledged by sovereign donors, private sector, and philanthropic groups—to support a financing mechanism for poor countries’ access to COVID-19 vaccines.
