<p class="MsoNormal">The coronavirus variant, B.1.617, first identified in India has been classified as “a variant of concern at the global level” by the World Health Organization (WHO) on Monday. This variant has been predominantly spreading in India, and is thought to be behind an explosive second wave that the country is currently battling. </p><p class="MsoNormal"></p>
