Leading health technology company Philips will buy US-based remote cardiac monitoring firm BioTelemetry in a $2.8 billion (2.3 billion euros) deal. BioTelemetry focuses on wearable heart monitors for the diagnosis and monitoring of heart rhythm disorders, which represents 85% of its sales.
