US pharma giant Johnson & Johnson (J&J) has temporarily suspended clinical trials of its COVID-19 vaccine candidate due to an unexplained illness in a study participant. The company said Monday the participant’s illness is being reviewed and evaluated by an independent data safety monitoring board as well as its clinical and safety physicians.
