Former FDA head Scott Gottlieb said Sunday it would be more efficient to distribute coronavirus vaccines directly to pharmacies to vaccinate the elderly, with tens of millions of doses distributed to states through the federal Operation Warp Speed still unused while a more contagious variant of the virus is feared to be spreading in the U.S.
