An announcement to this effect was made by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli on Wednesday following a cabinet meeting. Madbouli, in a statement, said, “There will be no New Year's celebrations or gatherings as part of the precautionary measures taken to confront the coronavirus."</p>
