<p class="MsoNormal">Pfizer is treating it as a commercial opportunity and refused research funding from the US government under its vaccine program Operation Warp Speed to use almost $2 billion of its own money instead to develop the vaccine. BioNTech, however, has received $441 million from the German government and a $118 million loan from the European Investment Bank. </p>
