<p class="MsoNormal">Social media giant Facebook and Carnegie Mellon University have jointly announced the launch of Open Catalyst Project that will use artificial intelligence (AI) to discover new electrocatalysts needed to store and use renewable energy. The partnership aims at using AI to accelerate quantum mechanical simulations by 1,000 times and enable scalable renewable energy storage.</p>
