The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) has reduced its forecast of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) production by 500,000 barrels per day (bpd) for the rest of 2023 and projected growth by 1 million bpd the following year after the cartel's production agreement expires.
