<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="line-height:107%">Italian energy giant Eni said Friday its adjusted net profit for the second quarter plunged 49% to $2.1 billion, from $4.2 billion for the same period a year ago, hit by the fall in energy prices.</span></p>
