Iraq plans to invest $3 billion in the Basra Gas Company over the next five years as it seeks to boost its gas production, the country’s oil minister said Monday. Iraq plans to increase Basra Gas Company’s production capacity from one billion cubic feet per day to 1.4 billion cubic feet per day by 2025, oil minister Ihsan Abdul Jabbar said.
