<p class="MsoNormal">Oil major BP on Wednesday announced that it has acquired a majority stake in the largest US carbon offset developer, Finite Carbon. The acquisition is part of the firm's climate goals which will simultaneously create a new revenue stream for it. BP has declined to reveal the value of the acquisition or the size of the new stake in Finite.</p>
