UK-headquartered energy giant BP announced that it will be selling its global petrochemicals business to billionaire James Ratcliffe’s INEOS for a total consideration of $5 billion. The former chemical engineer James Ratcliffe is the founder, chairman and majority owner of chemical powerhouse Ineos Group, with a net worth estimated by Forbes at $15.4 billion.
