The World Bank said the US-Iran conflict is weakening the 2026 growth outlook across the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, as the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and damage to energy and public infrastructure drive financial volatility and disrupt energy flows and trade routes.
