The US has signed a deal worth more than $3 billion with Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman to accelerate production of Patriot and THAAD interceptor missile components, as the Iran conflict and the war in Ukraine continue to draw down American air defense stockpiles at a pace that has alarmed Pentagon planners.
