The United Nations launched yesterday an appeal to raise $565 million to help Lebanon recover from the catastrophic explosions on August 4, which killed 171 people, wounded over 6,000, and rendered roughly 300,000 homeless. On request of the Lebanese government, the US Federal Bureau Investigation (FBI) confirmed Friday it will be providing investigative assistance into the Port of Beirut blasts.
