<p class="MsoNormal">Qatar has been given the preliminary permission by the UN’s International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to establish its own Flight Information Region (FIR) in its airspace, in response to Qatar’s request to control its own airspace, according to a statement by the gulf country’s Transport and Communications Ministry on Tuesday. </p><p class="MsoNormal"></p>
