The development comes just a couple of days after the airline suspended flights to three major Australian cities as the country has restricted international arrivals amid fears of the new strain of the virus. Emirates, the largest airline in the UAE, was among the last to maintain routes into and out of Australia's east region throughout most of the pandemic.
