The giant pandas that have been a staple of Washington D.C.'s National Zoo for decades are leaving the city for the China Wildlife Conservation Association in Chengdu, via a FedEx jumbo jet formally known as the Giant Panda Express—ending a 51-year experiment in “panda diplomacy,” at least for now.
