Russian grocery chain Magnit Tuesday said it would acquire another Russian retailer Dixy for $1.25 billion (92.4 billion rubles) in a deal that would expand its reach in the cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg. Dixy is owned by Russian billionaires Igor Kesaev and Sergey Katsiev, whose net worths were at $4 billion and $1.7 billion, respectively, as of May 18, according to Forbes.
