Legendary billionaire investor Warren Buffett announced on July 8 that he has donated $2.9 billion in shares of Berkshire Hathaway—the legendary conglomerate he founded—to five philanthropies including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation, The Sherwood Foundation, Howard G. Buffett Foundation, and NoVo Foundation.
