A $4.9 million diamond ring is being showcased at the bi-annual Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show at the Expo Centre in Sharjah. The Guinness World Record-holding ring has the most diamonds in one ring in the world, boasting 7,777 round, brilliant-cut natural diamonds.
Inspired by the Lotus Temple in Delhi, India, the intricately crafted two-tone 18K white and rose gold ring was designed and brought to life by Lakshikaa Jewels, based in Mumbai in India.
The ring is being displayed alongside other watches and jewelry pieces from more than 500 participating local, regional and international exhibitors and brands. The Sharjah-based event is also holding educational seminars run by top experts by the Gemological Institute of America and the International Gemological Institute.
With the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the exhibition and convention centre's 47th edition is under the patronage of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
The exhibition kicked off on Tuesday and will run until Saturday, October 5, 2019 . The public can catch a glimpse of the diamond-studded ring on Thursday from 12:00 to 23:00, Friday from 15:00 to 23:00 and Saturday from 12:00 to 22:00.
